Every private rental in New Zealand has needed a fixed heater in the main living room since 1 July 2025. It has to be capable of holding the room at 18°C, and the required capacity comes from the Tenancy Services heating assessment tool.
We work with landlords and property managers across Auckland: one point of contact, installs booked around tenants, a fixed price up front, and the documentation emailed to you and your property manager on the day.

Questions people ask
Does an existing heat pump comply?
Only if it meets the required capacity for the room. Heaters installed before 1 July 2019 with at least 2.4 kW can count if they provide at least 80% of the required capacity. We check it for you.
What if the tenant is not home?
We arrange access directly with the tenant or through your property manager and work around their hours where we can.
